Goldendoodle puppies! Hypoallergenic, nonshedding in Geneseo, New York
Our Goldendoodle puppies will be born June 20-23, in Geneseo, NY. We have three people on the waiting list from last year, and we are taking deposits for the remaining puppies.
Mom is AKC golden retriever, 5 years old, and a petite 55lbs. Dad is a white AKC standard poodle, although quite small for the breed (50 lbs). Last year we had sugar doodles (white) and apricot doodles (red). Our one year old puppies are generally between 40-65 lbs.; although there is one puppy that is very large and 80lbs. full grown. Gus (in spite of his larger size) is already advanced dog obedience trained, and is currently training to be a therapy dog. We will, of course, worm the puppies beginning at age 2 weeks, and get all their age-appropriate vaccines and certification of good health from our vet.
I used to train for Upstate Guide Dogs, so I begin clicker training and crate training with the puppies at three-four weeks. We currently train dogs as part of our 4H club, so our puppies will have more socialization and training than any other puppy you can buy anywhere else. Four of our children (adopted) have special needs (one child is blind), which is why we place such emphasis on training and temperament. You are more than welcome to contact our puppy buyers. We feed high quality (and expensive) Taste of the Wild dog food, and raise them inside our house with our kids and other dogs. We homeschool our children, and devout countless hours to our puppies? care. Those who put down deposits already get the first ?picks;? usually people actually choose their puppy at age three weeks. We accept half down to reserve a pick. Girls are $1400, and Boys are $1200.
We do know that you can buy a puppy from a puppy mill for half the price, but ask to physically see the dogs? beds. Ask to actually see the bag of dog food, and then go online and rate its nutrition. Just like with people, a well-cared for mother is of utmost importance to the offspring. Puppy mills raise the puppies as if they were chickens, in barns, and they are neither healthy nor well-socialized. If the ad states no Sunday sales (or the breeder doesn?t allow you to visit your puppy regularly) then it is a puppy mill. Google search ?puppy mills? in New York and Pennsylvania. If the breeder has a license number, it is because they sell more than 25 puppies per year!! That doesn?t mean that the puppies are healthy or somehow better; it means that they breed so many dogs that they are raised in a barn outside, like livestock!
Yes, rescue dogs ($300-350 at local rescues) can also be a great option for some people, but we understand that some people (like our family) need hypoallergenic dogs that are raised specifically for temperament, health, and obedience.
